Brewer Series Oktoberfest Release
September 26, 2019 @ 11:00 am - 10:00 pm
← All EventsIt’s a monthly tradition here at Karben4 when we tap a special, one of a kind, pilot batch. We let our brewers take their turn on the pilot system and create whatever there heart desires. We’ve release such beers as a Dunkel Bock, an Oat Ale, IPAs & a Peanut Butter Stout. We’re always excited to see what they’ve come up with.
This month Jon has made a Reinheitsgebot Oktoberfest. Following the strict purity laws of the olden days, 1516 to be exact, he’s made a delicious brew we’re calling “Ach Du Freakin’ Lieber Festbier” that will clock in at 6.8% abv.
Brewed true to German Reinheitsgebot (purity) law, this beer contains only barley, water, hops, and yeast. Lagered for nearly two months, this beer represents a traditional märzen style German brewers historically brewed to celebrate the end of the brewing season in May. It was traditionally aged cool in caves three to four months before being tapped at the late September harvest festivals to kick off the new brewing season. Expect big malty notes, gentle noble hop aroma and character, and plenty of backbone to warm the heart and soul.
This beer will be tapped right at open so put this one in your calendar!
